NKAY TALENT SHOW
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Nkay Talent Show is an annual Gospel Singing Competition for upcoming gospel artistes staged by NKAY MUSIC the organizers of the Show since 2016. The competition helps promote upcoming talented singers and the winners are selected by votes and a panel of judges. 

WHO IS THE COMPETITION FOR?
This competition is for anyone that can sing while adhering to the rules of the competition.

Nkay Talent Show is a brand of Nkay Music that commenced in 2016 by its Founder Rev Mrs Nkajima Obarinemi Paul-Obelley, a global award winning Gospel Artist popularly known as Nkay with numerous albums and songs to her credit such as her first album Miracle and singles like Superpower, Do it again, Wait, No Matter the Weather (DoReMi) and Not Burnt to mention a few.

The CEO of Nkay Talent Show is happily married to Bishop Obarinemi Paul- Obelley who is a pillar of support behind her exploits and they are blessed with 4 super amazing children that also sing so well that they are known as De Royalties.

Nkay believes that every individual is unique and special in their own ways, like no other and It is the extra a person carries that makes them extraordinary and distinquishes them from the crowd. Hence Nkay Talent Show is aimed at creating a platform to showcase upcoming gospel artists to the world. It is indeed a lifetime experience.

STRUCTURE
Nkay Music has four annual talent shows:
1. Nkay Valentine Special (Online singing competition; prize N35,000)

2. Nkay Kiddies Talent Show (Stage competition; prize N100,000)

3. Nkay Teens Talent Show (Stage competition; prize N100,000)

4. Nkay Talent Show (Stage competition; prize N350,000)

SUCCESS STORY
Now let's take you down memory lane.

In 2016, Nkay Talent Show began with competitions in three categories namely: singing, dance and drama. De Future Production came out tops in drama, The Steppers Dance Group won in the dance category while Lizzy Olaka was the winner of the singing competition.

In 2017, Nkay Talent Show focused exclusively on the singing competition and the winner for that season was Patta Edward.

Psalmson was the winner of Nkay Talent Show Season 3 in 2018.

By July 2019, the venue of the singing competition was moved from Eleme in Rivers State, Nigeria to the city of Port Harcourt the state capital. It was in the garden city of Port Harcourt that the Season 4 winner Ella 4 Christ emerged!

Inspite of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, Nkay Talent Show grew in grace and excellence as we had one of our best competitions so far and the Season 5 winner was Hallel.

Nkay Talent Show Season 7 was very interesting and competitive and Yira emerged victorious.

Now the big one is here! Who will be the winner of Nkay Talent Show Season 8?

The ball has been set rolling with over 20 contestants already registered for the  audition and only the top 10 with the highest votes will make it to the semifinals after which the top 5 will make it to the finals where the judges will select the best 3 and the winner will be crowned!

NB-If any contestant or fan that voted for a contestant has any complaints about some votes not reflecting in the daily updates, such should please send an email to vote@nkaymusic.com and attach a screenshot of the online voting receipts that might not have reflected yet. VOTING ENDS  AT 6PM ON SATURDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER 2023. THE FINAL VOTING RESULT WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT THE VENUE OF THE FINALS. THE TOP 5 CONTESTANTS QUALIFY FOR THE FINALS TO BE HELD BY 3:00P.M. ON SUNDAY 1ST OCTOBER 2023 @ SHAMMAH CHRISTIAN CENTRE, 31 NSIRIM ROAD, RUMUEME MILE 4, PORT HARCOURT.

1ST PRIZE: N200,000
2ND PRIZE: N100,000
3RD PRIZE: N50,000

TOTAL VALID VOTES CAST AS AT ABOUT 6:00P.M. ON FRIDAY 29TH SEPTEMBER 2023 = 2,359
